This book is absolutely AMAZING ! I purchased this book to familiarize myself with methods of applying hydraulic lime plaster and limewash to our newly purchased 70 years old concrete block house. I was already familiar with the subject and did not expect much from this book BUT when I started reading it I could not stop ! This book is written in beautifully simple, almost poetic manner, so that absolutely everyone will be able to understand it. It has beautiful color photographs of plasters, illustrations of techniques and even step-by-step photographs of how to do something.Even if you are not planning on learning how to plaster you can benefit a lot from this book. It goes into depth about the concept of healthy breathable buildings, history of construction and explains chemical reactions in detail and how your walls affect your health.I would love to meet the authors and shake their hand because this book they created is a true work of art ! The information was helpful, but felt a bit disorganized in the big picture presentation. Many section felt like they were just a header which pointed you to another section much earlier in the book. That said, the information and pictures still make me want to plaster my whole house with earth and lime.
